This limited edition watch is a modern reinterpretation of Seiko's 1970 diver's watch, which was popular among adventurers like Naomi Uemura. It has a stainless steel case and bracelet with super hard coating and is powered by a hand-assembled, 26-jewel caliber 8L35 automatic movement. With a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and a power reserve of approximately 50 hours, it is capable of manual winding and meets ISO standards for scuba diving to depths of up to 200 meters. The watch also features a gradated dial inspired by the Aurora Borealis, LumiBrite markers and hands for legibility, a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, a screwdown crown and caseback, a blue uni-directional rotating elapsed timing bezel, and a tri-fold push button release clasp with a secure lock and extender. It comes with an additional black silicone strap and is packaged in a limited edition collectors' box. Only 500 of these watches will be produced, with the serial number engraved on each caseback.
